JMC Academy Showcase

On the 16th of November the Marist Sisters Entertainment Class went on an excursion to the JMC Academy. The showcase located at the Enmore Theatre Included Performances by many uni students. There was a total of 4 different band performances from the Popular Music and Performance course, each having a different style of music. There was rock, pop, alternative and more. The performers were very confident and experienced. The entire show was run by the Entertainment and Business Management Students. The Animation students created many videos, conveying previous works as well as current works in progress. They were also interviewed and asked to show their own personal work. The television students showed many short films as well as movie trailers and music videos. The day was hosted by two JMC students who showed their enthusiasm of the University and who represented their Academy well. The overall day was very enjoyable!

Audio 4/5
  • The reason i gave the audio was that at the beginning of the show complications were shown through audio. The Audio improved throughout the show giving an overall good concert.
Vision 5/5
  • I gave the visual aspect of the show 5/5 because everything ran smoothly, good cameras were used for visual representation and the stage was set up nicely.
Lighting 5/5
  • The lighting of the show was very enjoyable. Many different types of lighting and colours were used to give an interesting and enjoyable show.
Staging 5/5
  • The reason i gave staging a 5/5 was because they did not only use the front part of the stage but also used the back area, opening up the curtains for a grand entrance and using the whole stage to the best of their abilities.
Venue 4/5
  • The venue used for the concert was a very good one. I enjoyed it because it had a nice seat arrangement, a great stage and an enjoyable atmosphere. The area it was located in was a bit far away and the footpath did not make for a large area to line up at.
